Volunteers

Hi Everyone,

It's hard to believe that all that snow has finally melted and we're getting ready for GHF 34 .
We're still doing only one BIG horse trial on the last weekend in June - June 24-25-26 – and hope you'll be able to help us out again this year.

I'm emailing the volunteer packets and sign-up sheets to those of you for whom I have email addresses and will mail the rest. Please download the forms and mail them back to me after you check off or circle your preferences. You don't have to fill out the form online this time! You may also reply to this email or call with your preferences and I will fill out the form for you. I really don't care how I hear from you as long as I hear from you! Also, please be sure to include your mailing address and phone # if I don't have it or it has changed as I'll still need to mail your assignments and parking passes and I may need to

call you at the last minute. You know the drill! The sign-up forms will also available on the GHF website.

I will get back to you about 2 weeks before the event with definite times and assignments. I wish I could let you know sooner, but the overall event schedule is always the last thing to be finalized and since your times depend on that schedule I am forced to do everything at the last minute. It drives me nuts but I am very pushy about getting that info and you will hear from me as soon as I get it!

Everyone who sends back a sign-up sheet(s) is guaranteed a job(s) at the time(s) you have indicated, so please mark your calendars accordingly NOW. If I have to change anything (job or time), I will call or email you first. To get your name listed on the volunteer page in the program your sign-up sheets need to back to me by June 1.

As usual, the most difficult time to get volunteer help is for Dressage on Friday since it's a work-day for most of us. This is a great opportunity for any non-horsey friends to participate in the GHF Horse Trials and reap the rewards of volunteering!

THE GHF 2-PHASE , our annual fund-raiser, is Saturday, May 28 with dressage and show jumping
at the Elem. through Intermediate levels.

The 2011 GHF SUMMER CLASSIC is Sunday, June 19, the week before the GHF Horse Trials, and the 2011 GHF FALL CLASSIC is Sunday, Sept. 25, Both of the Classic events are the same format as the horse trials with all 3 phases on the same day at the Elementary and BN levels.

2-PHASE & Summer Classic volunteer opportunities and times needed for both are listed on a separate form.
