The day started cold and gray, matching the mood on the show grounds as we all reflected in the recent loss of Ian Gunn this past Thursday. Ian was a member of the GHF organizing committee, and has helped Groton House for many years. His absence at the two phase was most notable. But alas the show must go on...
Below are the results for the 2011 Groton House Farm Two Phase Combined Training and Dressage Schooling Show, held on Saturday May 28th. Thank you to all of the volunteers, spectators and competitors for helping us have a successful show. There were quite a few nice rides out there today, including Ferial Johnson's Novice ride on Trigger, who won the division on her dressage score of 24.8, and Olivia Quill's Novice schooling dressage ride on Silver Slipper that earned her a 73.48% on her new mount Silver Slipper. Congratulations to all competitors!
If anyone saw an accidental side-swipe in the parking lot involving a green car, please contact the event secretary Jill Morris at 978-465-4347.
See you in a few weeks at the 2011 Summer Classic on Sunday June 19, and the three-day Groton House Farm Horse Trials the following weekend June 24-26. Volunteers are needed for these shows.
