Looking back at the last 30 years, Groton House Farm has evolved and grown through many different experiences. From extra-arid "get the water truck (again)" years, to washouts like last year, we all have learned that eventing does not always provide the perfect conditions. In fact, nature often provides that extra twist that might help select the recipients of the prestigious GHF ribbons and trophies (not to mention the bragging rights that are so well deserved). This weekend, we couldn't have asked for better conditions for an event. Combined with perfect weather for GHF I, we are hoping that this year makes up a little bit for what the Northeast had to endure last year. Those who missed GHF 2007 also missed a great 30th Anniversary party with a live band on Saturday night, a cross country course that still sets the standard in New England, and a stadium course that posed many interesting questions, shaking things up in several divisions. We hope you can join us next year!!
Below are the unofficial provisional results of the 2007 Groton House Farm II Horse Trials. Thank you once again to all of the volunteers who help make GHF possible, and to all of the grooms, parents, siblings, spouses and friends who are the unnamed heroes and supporters that make this weekend such a wonderful success.
